This event is put on by volunteers...
Like the Liederkranz itself, this event is organized and run by volunteers. If you are passionate about saving a historic landmark or just a fan of craft beverages and meats, we need your help. In addition to bettering your community, volunteering for this event comes with some perks, such as complimentary access to the event and T-Shirts. Some of the areas where support is needed are outlined below.
Vendor Support Team
This team will be the backbone during the event, helping the vendors and the Server volunteers with their needs. Volunteers in this position must be able to lift heavy items, making sure vendor booths have plenty of ice and that water coolers are full. It will also be essential to maintain a clean and healthy atmosphere for everyone’s enjoyment.
Set-up/ Break Down
Members of this team will assist the events staff with preparation for the event, helping set up Vendor booths, tables, clean-up and take-down.
Members of the Servers team will be working alongside Brewery Vendors, assisting them in pouring samples of their craft beverages to attendees. A goal of this event is to expose attendees to our regionally-crafted beverages, so ideal Servers should come with a background knowledge and preferably be passionate about craft brews. We want you talking to the patrons about the brews, socializing and discussing the topic of the day… Regionally-Crafted Beverages!
Those who are especially skilled in the art of grilling can volunteer to cook up some tasty offerings for our festival goers.
We need to spread the word about the Craft Brew & Sausage Festival! Volunteers are needed for pre-event distribution of promotional cards and posters about the festival to businesses and neighborhoods throughout Grand Island and the surrounding communities. Help us get the word out!
Join our team of volunteers who will be welcoming guests to on the day of events in admissions. These volunteers MUST be outgoing, cheerful, talkative, extroverted and knowledgeable about the event (this information will be provided prior to event dates). Members of these teams will be the festival-goers first contact and will answer their questions before and after the doors open.
